What is the address of your usual residence?
Please provide the physical address (street number and name, not a post office box) where you usually reside rather than any temporary address at which you reside for training, work or other purposes before returning to your home. If you are from a rural area use the address from your state or territory’s ‘rural property addressing’ or ‘numbering’ system as your residential street address.

Unique Student Identifier (USI)
You may already have a USI if you have done any nationally recognised training, which could include training at work, completing a first aid course or RSA course, getting a white card, or studying at a TAFE or training organisation. It is important that you try to find out whether you already have a USI before attempting to create a new one. You should not have more than one USI. To check, use the ‘Forgotten USI’ link at usi.gov.au.

About this course
HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is the standalone CPR unit. It covers recognising a cardiac arrest, performing effective compressions and rescue breaths on adults, children and infants, and using an AED.
Because CPR skill decays quickly, it is the one certificate almost every industry expects you to refresh every twelve months. This session is built for exactly that — short, practical, and heavy on manikin time rather than theory.
What you will learn
Who this course is for
If any of these describe you or your team, this is the right certificate to hold.
What the day looks like
Four straightforward steps from booking to certificate.

Your Statement of Attainment is typically emailed within 2 hours of finishing.

- Students under 18 are welcome with parent or guardian consent.
How you are assessed

HLTAID009 questions
The things people ask us most about this course.
How often should I renew my CPR certificate?
Every 12 months is the widely accepted standard across Australian industry, because CPR skill fades faster than almost any other first aid skill. Some employers ask for it more often.
I already hold HLTAID011 — do I still need this?
HLTAID011 includes the CPR component, so your first aid certificate covers you initially. Most people then book this shorter CPR session each year to keep that component current without redoing the full first aid course.
Is the price the same for both session lengths?
Yes — both the 2.5-hour and 3.5-hour options are $70 and lead to the same nationally recognised HLTAID009 certificate. The shorter session simply moves more theory into the online pre-work.
Do I need to be physically fit?
You need to be able to kneel on the floor and perform compressions for two minutes. If you have an injury or condition that makes this difficult, call us before booking and we will talk through your options.
When will I get my certificate?
Typically emailed within 2 hours of the session.
Can you come to our workplace?
Yes — CPR is one of the most common on-site group bookings we run. Get in touch for a quote. Group bookings of more than 20 students receive a 20% discount.
